About the neighbourhood

The neighbourhood of Cancelada is the easternmost area of Estepona, bordering with the municipality of Marbella. Cancelada itself is like a tiny village located next to the highway A-7 and which retains its typical Andalusian character. The coastal part corresponding to Cancelada is El Saladillo and has a direct exit from the A-7. The neighbourhood is located between the two major destinations on the Costa del Sol for wealthy tourists, Marbella and Estepona. It has given its name also to the surrounding area which is home to some excellent golf courses and hotels. The area is heavily urbanized, both towards the mountains and along the coast. The developments are of refined appearance, with chalets and apartments with gardens stretching down to the beach. It is a quieter area and is more popular among families that choose Cancelada as their holiday residence. Golfers might find this location also optimal, because it is close to some of the best golf courses in Malaga.
